We pursue service to the community in the same
spirit we pursue service to our customers: we want
to be the best. And money plays a relatively small
part. Most of the contributions you'll see here come
from donations of time and effort.

The Easter Seals Center is home to dozens of health
and rehabilitation programs, from brain injury
services to pulmonary rehabilitation to physician
services. On a recent Halloween, the Manchester
Center identified 50 youngsters unable to go out
trick or treating, so 10 volunteers from Singer
Family Enterprises dressed up in costumes and
brought candy, entertainment and arts and crafts to
the kids.

One of our favorite activities is to gather 20 or 30
kids together for a meal and a special event. It may
be a professional hockey game by the Manchester
Monarchs, a Southern New Hampshire University
basketball game or a simple trip to the bowling
lanes. A big hit in 2002 was a trip to Portsmouth to
see Avner the Eccentric, whose show defies
description and straight faces with equal ease.
